About Us

Hello! I'm Nick Stewart, and I'm excited to share a bit about my family and our journey.

It all started the summer after high school, when Kelsie reached out for help with a colt she was training. I offered a hand—and sparks flew, both in the round pen and between us. After three years of dating, we got married on August 25, 2018, and we’ve been building a life together in and out of the saddle ever since.

Just a few weeks before our wedding, I was finishing my Master Certification with Ken McNabb Horsemanship in Douglas, Wyoming. Right before I wrapped up, I was offered a chance to stay and work for Ken. I called Kelsie, and without hesitation, she said, “Let’s do it.” We spent a short honeymoon in San Antonio and then packed up and moved 1,500 miles north to chase the dream.

Our time in Wyoming was unforgettable. We trained horses, started colts, worked cattle, and spent every spare moment outdoors, learning and growing side by side. Two years later, we felt the pull of home and returned to the Texas Hill Country. Not long after, we found out we were expecting our first daughter, Madilyn Mae. I stepped into a new role managing a high fence game ranch while continuing to train horses on the side.

Kelsie and I had always dreamed of running a training business together—one built on honesty, hard work, and a shared passion for horsemanship. That dream started coming true when my parents offered us a piece of family land in Marble Falls, originally purchased by my great-grandfather. I grew up on that land, learning to hunt and ranch with my dad and great-grandpa, who lived well into his 90s. To build our home and business here feels like we’ve come full circle.

Since then, our family has grown. Alongside Madilyn, we’ve been blessed with two more daughters—Baileigh and Elizabeth. They’ve become part of our everyday life on the ranch, and the reason behind everything we do.

Today, we’re proud to call Stewart Ridge Ranch Horses home—a place where our family, our horses, and our clients can grow together. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We’d love to welcome you to the ranch soon.
