I’m Nick Stewart, a Ken McNabb Master Certified Trainer with a lifelong passion for helping people and horses connect in a way that works—for both of them. I’ve spent my entire life horseback, learning from some of the best horsemen in the world, always with one clear purpose in mind: to teach others and to match good people with honest, well-trained horses they can trust.
That purpose was sparked early. When I was a kid, my parents went through the ringer trying to find my first horse. They meant well, but like a lot of folks new to horses, they didn’t know what they were getting into. Both of them got hurt trying to ride horses that weren’t right for our family—and that experience lit a fire in me. Ever since, I’ve been driven to help others avoid that same path by starting horses the right way, training with patience and purpose, and making sure every horse I sell is truly what I say it is.
I specialize in ranch and cow horses, colt starting, and helping both horses and riders work through challenges with clarity and confidence. My program focuses on the fundamentals: respect, balance, and good work ethic—whether the goal is a safe family trail horse or a competitive rope horse. I’ve had the honor of starting and training horses selected for the prestigious Diamond McNabb Ranch Horse Sale and was proud to be named the 2015 All-Around Rodeo Champion Cowboy in my hometown series.
I train horses of all breeds, but I have a special place in my program for those gritty, honest ranch-type horses. I put a strong emphasis on understanding equine behavior, problem-solving the right way, and building solid foundations that last a lifetime. My goal is always the same: to set horses and riders up for success—and to make sure the horse you take home is the right one for you.
If you’re looking for the right horse, the right start, or the right kind of training to build a lasting partnership, I’d be honored to help. Reach out anytime—let’s find the fit that works for you.
Meet Kelsie Stewart
Kelsie was raised in the heart of ranch country, learning the ropes from her dad—an old-school cowboy who believed in hard work, quiet confidence, and doing right by your horse. That upbringing shaped her into the horsewoman she is today: calm, intuitive, and deeply connected to the animals she works with.
While Kelsie has the grit of a ranch-raised cowgirl, it’s her gentle feel and natural timing in the saddle that really set her apart. Her horsemanship is quiet but effective, built on patience, trust, and a strong foundation. She’s spent years refining her skills alongside her husband, Nick, developing a training program that blends old-school principles with a modern, thoughtful approach to developing safe, competitive, and honest horses.
Kelsie’s experience goes beyond the saddle. During her time at the Broken Arrow Ranch, she wore many hats—training and preparing sale horses, troubleshooting behavior issues, and guiding clients through the buying process. She’s become a trusted hand not just in training, but in helping people find horses that truly fit their needs.
Whether she’s putting the first rides on a young horse or helping a rider gain confidence, Kelsie brings clarity, kindness, and skill to every session. She has a sharp eye for developing family-friendly horses with solid foundations, and she’s no stranger to the performance pen—especially when it comes to team roping.
If you’re looking for guidance with your horse, support as a rider, or help finding the right partner, Kelsie brings experience, heart, and honesty to every step of the journey. Reach out anytime—she’s here to help.
